Rules & Equipment

All competitors must abide by the following rules:

1. All paddlers must wear lifejackets capable of supporting their own weight (can not be blow up type unless they are fitted with a cannister that inflates the jacket).  Lifejackets, leashes and flares are not required for day 2 (Finn Kayaks Coastal Challenge) but are recomended.  
2. All paddlers must be attached to their craft via a leash
3. All paddlers must have at least one flare attached to their craft/person
4. All paddlers must attend the pre event briefing held immediately prior to race start. Day 1 Rottnest Island, Day 2 Fremantle Beach.
5. All paddlers must assist other competitors in difficulty.
6. Any competitors with private escort boats must be operated by registered certified skippers
