The Fenn Cup held today on Saturday 14th January will be as follows:
Course Direction:
Fenn Cup 16km Course: Start at Collaroy Beach, finish at Palm Beach (beach side near Palm Beach SLSC)
Coastal Dash 7km Course: Start at Mona Vale Basin, finish at Palm Beach (beach side near Palm Beach SLSC). All Coastal Dash competitors must register at Collaroy SLSC and attend race briefing at 1pm at Collaroy SLSC.
Registration: ALL competitors in both Fenn Cup 16km and Coastal Dash 7km race must register and collect their timing chip at Collaroy SLSC between 10am and 1.00pm. You can enter the race today if you have not done online.
Briefing: ALL competitors in both Fenn Cup 16km and Coastal Dash 7km must attend the race briefing at Collaroy SLSC at 1pm for final instructions.
Presentations: Will be held back at Collaroy SLSC after the finish of the race.

The Fenn Cup 2012 event will take place on Saturday 14th January 2012 and is the 4th event of the AORS – Australian Ocean Racing Series.
This season we have decided to run only one event due to the large number of events on the racing calendar.
As per previous years there are 2 courses for competitors to choose from. The longer Fenn Cup 16km and the shorter Coastal Dash 7km race. We will endeavour to make all events downwind with an afternoon start.Competitors will be informed of the direction and starting point the morning of the event.
Event registration and presentations will take place at Collaroy SLSC. Click on the ‘Entry Information’ tab for full details.
The event is open to every type of paddle craft including ocean racing skis, SLSA surf skis, doubles, paddleboards, OC1s, OC2, SUP’s, Sea Kayaks and plastic craft.
Fenn Cup 16km Course
The Fenn Cup is designed to give the ocean paddler the ultimate downwind race. The course plans to run North from Fishermans Beach to Palm Beach in South Winds and South from Palm Beach to Collaroy Beach in North winds. Start is expected to be 2pm but may be delayed up to 1 hour to catch an afternoon sea breeze.
Coastal Dash 7 km Course
The Coastal Dash will feature a range of paddle craft. This event is designed to give the SUPs and paddleboards a solid hour long race for the front runners while providing intermediate ski and outrigger paddlers with a competitive shorter downwind course. This race will always start at Mona Vale Basin approximately 2.20pm, 20 minutes after the Fenn Cup starts. In south winds the race will finish at Palm Beach, in North winds the race will finish at Collaroy Beach. Note In the case of big surf this course may be moved to Fishermans Beach.
