- The perforations allow for breathability and body temperature control. Super stretch Airprene ensures natural cooling through air and water entry.

This top is great for cool days especially when the water is still cold. The fleece breaths well even if the sun pops out. I requested the bright color some time ago. It's great for increased visibility.

Rocky mistake, went paddle boarding and forgot to fully close my drytop jacket. And as Murphy would have it I fell into the water (water temp at 0c) I know because I was breaking the ice with my SUP. Luckily I was wearing my Vcold top under the shell. As the water went in I could feel the cold water creeping under my jacket. Went back as soon as I could on my board, but thanks to the Vcold top the cold water didn’t get me. I felt the water as any other day that I would fall in. Definitely recommend this top either as a base layer or as one layer (weather permitting). It felt like a second skin. Didn’t bother me and allowed me to keep paddling for long. Got out of the water because cold hands… so Vaikobi, when are the Vcold gloves coming? My boots did a good job too.

I purchased this top as a gift for my husband. We live in California where the air and water are cold right now. He shared that the top kept him comfortably warm and did not chafe in anyway while he was out kayaking this weekend.

I’ve been using this VCOLD Hydroflex top for paddling between 1 to 8 degrees C since I got it. It’s great and has made the kind of difference to winter paddling that my VCOLD pants have made for some years. I typically wear an ultralight wind and rain jacket over it and on the coldest days, I also wear a wool sweater layer over the VCOLD and under the windbreaker. I’m an adult who seemed to never grow beyond a youth size (typically I find kids size 12 or 14 Canadian fits me) and this VCOLD is the perfect size (seems similar to my other kids size 12 stuff). Like the pants, this top is are easy to look after. I highly recommend this.
